PT Vale Indonesia was established by Deed No. 49 dated July 25, 1968, drawn up before Eliza Pondaag, a public notary in Jakarta. We operates under a Contract of Work, which was amended with a Special Mining Business Permit (IUPK) on May 13, 2024. The contract is valid until December 28, 2035, and the concession covers an area of 118,017 Ha covering South Sulawesi (70,566 hectares), Central Sulawesi (22,699 hectares) and Southeast Sulawesi (24,752 hectares).In producing nickel in the Sorowako Block, we use pyro metallurgical technology (in melting the laterite nickel ore). The Company mines laterite nickel ore and processes it into the final product of nickel in matte.
The Company also continues its plan to developing integrated mining practices through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, and in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The development project also targets existing operational locations, in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.
As the two largest shareholders, MIND ID (PT Mineral Industri Indonesia) and Vale Canada Limited (VCL) jointly control PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. MIND ID holds the largest share in the company at 34.00%, while VCL holds approximately 33.88%.

Manager Internal Communication

Purpose of the Role
The internal communications manager is designed and implemented for integrated internal communication and engagement strategies across all PTVI areas for both growth and operations, ensuring employees are aligned with corporate strategy, motivated by CARES values, and actively engaged in the company’s growth and sustainability journey.Accountabilities
- Manage and plan Environment, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR) standards and regulations and energy management system by ensuring working environmental conditions, equipment, materials, methods, worker behavior, and 5S under area responsibility with the aim of minimizing risk, achieving safe and secure conditions (Zero Harm), clean environment, and achieved work productivity targets.
- Develop and execute integrated internal communication plans for all PT Vale operations and corporate offices.
- Ensure consistent messaging that connects employees to business priorities, sustainability commitments, and growth projects.
- Lead cross-company campaigns that drive employee’s engagement and culture alignment.
- Manage and lead internal communication to ensure the success of company’s project and strategy (carve-out, restructuring, change management, etc.).
- Ensure employees are well-informed, engaged, and reassured during organizational change.
- Align company strategy messaging with external reputation management
- Oversee campaigns on corporate culture, safety, sustainability, and other project strategies.
- Manage intranet, newsletters, digital platforms, and internal events.
- Ensure messages are consistent across divisions, regions, and functions.
- Manage and develop team capacity in content creation, employee engagement, and change communication.
- Promote leadership alignment by supporting town halls, CEO messages, and cascade communications to Integrated Communications and Campaigns.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Social Science and Political Science or a related field. Master's degree is an added advantage, especially in Strategic Communication, Media, or Public Relations.
- Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience in corporate communications with experience in crisis communications and / or relations with media in the extractive industry, manufacturing, energy, and / or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
- Manage sensitive issues responsibly, balancing empathy with accountability.
- Strategic storytelling conveying technical updates into a human-centered narrative that builds trust.
- Media and stakeholder relations management - ensuring the use of language that avoids legal risks while strengthening a sense of responsibility.
- Strong journalistic skills to provide fresh perspectives.
- Legal awareness and compliance - ensuring the use of acceptable language.
- Empathy and human-centered writing demonstrating genuine care and respect for impacted communities.
- Analytical structuring presenting clear timelines, data, and classifications to support transparency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Indonesian and English with journalistic and corporate language styles.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Resilience and adaptability in rapidly changing crisis situations.
- Willingness to travel to affected locations and engage directly with local communities.
- Familiar with digital communication platforms, media monitoring tools, and crisis reporting systems.
- Computer literate, experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), AutoCAD, Staad Pro, HEC-RAS and Plaxis / Geostudio.
- Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).
