The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning / National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia is a central government institution that plays a vital role in managing land administration, spatial planning, and agrarian affairs across the country. Its mandate is deeply connected to Indonesia’s development goals, as land and spatial planning are fundamental to economic growth, infrastructure expansion, housing, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. The ministry is responsible for ensuring that land use policies align with national priorities, while also safeguarding the rights of citizens to fair and transparent access to land ownership and utilization.
Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries prepares the Fisheries Vessel Modernization Program as a strategic step to increase fishermen’s productivity while strengthening the national capture fisheries sector. A total of 1,582 modern fishing vessels will be built gradually during the period 2026 to 2028, consisting of 1,000 vessels sized 30 GT, 557 vessels sized 200 GT, and 25 vessels sized 500 GT, which will be equipped with various main fishing gears, including Pelagic Purse Seine, Gill Net, Handline, Bottom Longline, Tuna Pole Line, and transport vessels adjusted to the characteristics of fishing areas and the needs of local fishermen.
The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy. The EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam was established in Jakarta on 6 September 1988. It is one of over 140 diplomatic missions that represent the EU around the world. The EU Delegation’s role is to promote EU polices and to build closer ties with Indonesia and Brunei. Indonesia is the first ASEAN country to have concluded a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) with the EU, which governs our overall relation and cooperation. The PCA signed in 2009 and in force since 2014 encompasses dialogues in various areas: Political Dialogue, Security Dialogue, Human Rights Dialogue, Trade and Investment, Development Cooperation, Environment and Climate Change, as well as Fisheries and Maritime Affairs.
