The contract is valid until December 28, 2035, and the concession covers an area of 118,017 Ha covering South Sulawesi (70,566 hectares), Central Sulawesi (22,699 hectares) and Southeast Sulawesi (24,752 hectares).
In producing nickel in the Sorowako Block, we use pyro metallurgical technology (in melting the laterite nickel ore). The Company mines laterite nickel ore and processes it into the final product of nickel in matte.
The Company also continues its plan to developing integrated mining practices through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, and in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The development project also targets existing operational locations, in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.
As the two largest shareholders, MIND ID (PT Mineral Industri Indonesia) and Vale Canada Limited (VCL) jointly control PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. MIND ID holds the largest share in the company at 34.00%, while VCL holds approximately 33.88%.

Head of MIS & Digital Transformation

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead Company’s technology and digital transformation agenda toward data-driven decision-making and modern technological agility with reliability, (cyber) security and value added.
  • The role is accountable for identifying, bridging, adopting and aligning between IT capabilities, business strategy and operations along with its technology (OT) to optimize and elevate organization and business performance across its multiple areas.

Accountabilities

  • IT and OT Convergence:
    • Connecting Systems: Merging corporate IT networks with field-level operational technology (OT) (e.g., sensors, SCADA, and fleet management) to ensure real-time visibility across the entire value chain.
    • Data Integration: Centralizing data from exploration, extraction, processing, and logistics to eliminate data silos
    • Drive technology-enabled business transformation across mining operations, processing plants, supply chain, finance, HR, and corporate functions.
  • Technology, Digital Strategy and Innovation:
    • Lead the digital transformation strategy transformation aligned with business strategy and growth plans.
    • Establish digital governance and benefits realization mechanisms to ensure measurable business outcomes.
    • Technology Roadmapping: Developing and executing long-term digital strategies, such as automation in operations, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and advanced mine planning.
    • Business Value Creation: Identifying digital opportunities that improve yield, reduce energy costs, and lower the carbon footprint.
    • Drive continuous improvement of business processes through technology solutions.
  • Management Information System:
    • Lead the management and optimization of enterprise systems, including ERP, HRIS, finance, procurement, maintenance, and operational technologies.
    • Oversee application lifecycle management, system upgrades, integrations, and vendor relationships.
    • Build robust reporting frameworks and data analytics capabilities to provide actionable intelligence to executives and site managers
    • Promote data-driven culture through dashboards, reporting automation, and predictive analytics.
    • Establish service management standards and performance metrics.
  • Cybersecurity and Governance:
    • Develop and maintain enterprise cybersecurity strategy and controls.
    • Manage cyber risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and business continuity planning.
    • Establishing guidelines for the ethical and secure use of artificial intelligence and data analytics.
  • Change Management and Culture:
    • Strengthen employee awareness and cybersecurity culture.
    • Upskilling our workforce to become more digitally fluent and agile.
    • Ensure reliable operation of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, communication systems, and end-user services.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to Executive Committee and business leaders on technology and digital matters.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 18 years of experience in Management Information System and Digital Transformation, IT system and implementation, and Cybersecurity. Experience in a technology leadership role in mining is an advantage.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong background in developing and executing technology strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing technology teams.
  • Expertise in budgeting and financial management for tech projects.
  • Experience in vendor and supplier management.
  • Experience with IT transition that focus toward IT-OT driver.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their potential business applications.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific technology trends and challenges.
  • Fluent in English communication (writing, reading, speaking).
  • Computer literate, experienced in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point). High proficiency in Desktop application, not limited to Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and Analytic tools such as Power BI, SQL, etc.
  • Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).

Head of HCBP, IR & GFMS

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead and direct human capital business partnering, industrial relations management, implementation of talent management, performance management and succession planning to ensure its effectiveness to achieve PTVI business objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure all human capital procedures and policies are updated, well-socialized as well as functionally and legally valid to support the organization effectiveness and people development aligned with company goals.
  • Develop and prepare the strategic engagement program between Management, Unions, Employees, government and other related stakeholders to ensure establishment of effective and sustainable relationship among stakeholders.
  • Lead and direct Manage the effectiveness of PTVI organization and interface functions between area management in 3 operation and growth project sites (Sorowako, Bahodopi and Pomaalaa) and respective HR functions for the resolution of issues to ensure immediate solutions are provided as expected.
  • Manage and control the implementation of corporate culture, talent management, succession planning, performance & budget management to ensure the alignment with corporate strategya dan company objective.
  • Establish and maintain relationship with stakeholders in 3 different sites, such as the government of Indonesia worksforce ministry, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi province and local government Labour (Disnaker), Unions and Community Leaders to ensure employment regulation and procedures are implemented effectively both in PTVI and in the Growth Projects.
  • Control all industrial relations matters, such as the preparation and the negotiation process of Collective Labor Agreement (CLA), socialization of Labor law and company regulations, grievances, disciplinary process and dispute resolutions to achieve best practice of Industrial Relation Model.
  • Ensure HR compliance is implemented across HC functions and execute internal control activities to ensure all the regulation (internal and external) are fulfilled and the integrity of HC function is achieved.
  • Manage the report all the progress, challenges and problems related to organization effectiveness and employee relations and propose solutions for improvement to ensure the compliance with the objectives.
  • Lead the conduct of PT Vale organization review to ensure alignment and strategic linkage with company long-term directions and objectives by providing technical expertise for the review process of the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree (S2) or HR certifications are often considered a strong plus.
  • Having a minimum of 15 years of total experience in human resources, with a substantial track record (5 to 10+ years) operating specifically in a senior HRBP / HCBP or strategic HR leadership role.
  • Having experience as strategic partnering, talent and workforce planning, HR Analytics, compliance & labor law, and change management.
  • In-depth expertise in core HR business processes, industrial relations, reward processes, organization design and talent management
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
  • An empathetic, people-first approach.
  • Ability to productively challenge and effectively influence others.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial relations regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in compensation management systems.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, energy, manufacturing, or other operationally intensive industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience in analytics, executive reporting, project management, and organizational governance.
  • Fluent in English communication (writing, reading, speaking).
