In addition to the BD Field, HCML has successfully developed the MDA and MBH fields. These projects involved complex offshore engineering, including the installation of platforms and subsea pipelines. Analyst Gas Marketing

  • Working Location: Jakarta Office
  • Employment Status: Permanent

Responsibilities

To conduct gas-marketing activities, including gas market survey / studies, marketing to potential buyers and monitor contract development and implementation in compliance with the government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct gas marketing activities, including market studies, buyer identification, and support for pricing and commercial strategy.
  • Manage gas sales operations and contracts (GSM, including nominations, invoicing, TOP reconciliation, and compliance monitoring.
  • Perform commercial and economic analyses financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment to support business decisions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare accurate business reports analyses, and QA-validated commercial data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Economic, Business Administration, Petroleum / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Marketing / Commercial in Upstream Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Strong understanding of gas marketing strategies, market analysis, and competitive intelligence in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector.
  • Experience in supporting gas sales operations, including Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) administration, contract monitoring, nominations, invoicing, and Take or Pay (TOP) reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of economic evaluation, financial modeling, and project economic analysis to support commercial and investment decisions.
  • Ability to perform business analysis, forecasting, and performance monitoring using financial and non-financial indicators.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, PSC fiscal terms, and government approval processes related to gas commercialization and Plan of Development (POD).
  • Experience in preparing business reports, market studies, and commercial analyses in accordance with company procedures.
  • Strong capability in gathering, verifying, and analyzing market, operational, and financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with gas pricing structures, contract negotiation processes, and commercial risk assessment.
  • Understanding of commercial operations, contract compliance, stakeholder coordination, and Quantity Assurance (QA) processes to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
