The ministry’s mission is to improve public health standards, expand access to healthcare services, and strengthen the resilience of the health system in facing both current and future challenges. With Indonesia’s vast population and diverse geography, the Ministry of Health carries a significant responsibility in ensuring equitable healthcare delivery across urban centers and remote rural areas.
The ministry is tasked with developing strategies that address communicable and non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, nutrition, and environmental health. It also oversees vaccination programs, disease surveillance, and emergency response systems to safeguard the population against outbreaks and public health crises. In addition, the Ministry of Health works to improve the quality of healthcare facilities, enhance medical education, and ensure that healthcare professionals are adequately trained and supported. These efforts are aligned with the broader national development goals of building a healthy and productive society.
Human resources are a critical component of the ministry’s success. The Ministry of Health requires professionals who are dedicated, innovative, and capable of adapting to the dynamic challenges of the healthcare sector.
