Today, PT SUCOFINDO is engaged in inspection, testing, certification, training, and consulting services for the agriculture, forestry, mining (oil, gas, non-oil and non-gas) sectors, construction, processing industry, marine, fisheries, government, transportation, information systems, and renewable energy. PT SUCOFINDO also provides various services such as warehousing and forwarding, analytical laboratories, industrial and marine engineering, fumigation, and industrial hygiene.

Chief Chemist

General Requirements

• Have good communication skills. Able to work individually or in a team. Discipline, meticulous, and able to work with deadlines.
• Able to work under site operational pressure and have basic understanding related to: QA/QC laboratory; Occupational safety (HSE/K3).
• Preferably have experience in mining / mineral / geochemical laboratory industry.
• Physically and mentally healthy.
• Willing to work with roster / shift system in remote area with placement location in Konawe.
• Only candidates who meet the requirements will be invited to participate in the online selection (Zoom).

• Target for all onsite positions no later than July 02, 2026.

Competency Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Geochemistry.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in mineral / mining laboratory field.
• Proficient in: XRF, AAS, ICP analysis methods (added value); QA/QC laboratory system; Instrument validation and calibration.
• Understand standards: ISO 17025 (added value).
• Have skills in: Leadership and decision making; Operational lab problem solving.
• Willing to act as person in charge of lab operations (PJO).

Main Duties

• Supervise all QA/QC laboratory activities.
• Ensure quality of explorationand production sample analysis results.
• Manage analystand preparation team.
• Coordinate with managementand site operations.
