In producing nickel in the Sorowako Block, we use pyro metallurgical technology (in melting the laterite nickel ore). The Company mines laterite nickel ore and processes it into the final product of nickel in matte.
The Company also continues its plan to developing integrated mining practices through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, and in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The development project also targets existing operational locations, in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.
As the two largest shareholders, MIND ID (PT Mineral Industri Indonesia) and Vale Canada Limited (VCL) jointly control PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. MIND ID holds the largest share in the company at 34.00%, while VCL holds approximately 33.88%.

Senior Coordinator for Publication, Reporting, and Public Relations

Purpose of the Role

Executes communication plans based on corporate communication strategy, provides communication initiatives to support company’s positive image and relationship with external and internal stakeholders, promotes company’s brand and image through actions on public relations matters, and supports company’s campaign programs through delivery of proper and updated communication channels, and conducts proper and accurate evaluation on communication programs to ensure effectiveness. He/she is also responsible for reporting the activities of communications and publications, as well as core program which is called Integrated Program for Community Empowerment (PPM), stakeholder mapping analysis support, narrative advocacy, ROI updates in compliance with the standards of corporate reporting.

Accountabilities

  • Implementing and supervising Environment, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR) standards and regulations and energy management system by ensuring working environmental conditions, equipment, materials, methods, worker behavior, and 5S under area responsibility with the aim of minimizing risk, achieving safe and secure conditions (Zero Harm), clean environment, and achieved work productivity targets.
  • Setting up a communication channel to convey concepts and disseminate information in a campaign for internal and external stakeholders, maintain and ensure the budget for communications is self-guarded.
  • Provides a communication channel in the form of: (1) print, (2) online media, (3) multimedia (TV, video, radio), which is tailored to the topic, scope, and expected segmentation of information recipients.
  • Organizing Public Relations programs either for internal or external parties, in various forms, such as public campaigns, exhibitions, competition, production of merchandise, banners, posters, leaflets, billboards and other communication tools required, and periodic publications campaigned.
  • Actively involved in the drafting team of the company performance report, both in general company or Corporate Affairs social programs, to promote company achievements and quality assurance.
  • Support annual and quarterly performance reports and oversee and provide technical support to third-party publishing partners in achieving high-quality products / services.The company adheres to company reporting guidelines, with constructive feedback strategically accommodated before printing.
  • Actively involve in cross section discussion and meetings, as well as field work, to get insights and ideas on “eye catching” publicity. In addition, feedback on public in general regarding the company’s publication product can be obtained in direct interaction with them.
  • Summarize feedback on the content and packaging of company reports and publications, and implement a referral system to relevant units / departments regarding specific input and questions and coordinate and analyze the impact of awareness raising through publications and communications, for example in anti-corruption campaigns, for necessary adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business Administration, Agricultural Science, Law, Forestry, Geography, Literature, Engineering or any related background with experience in corporate communications.
  • Willing to travel to all PT Vale Indonesia locations and interact directly with the media and local communities.
  • Have 6 years of experience in corporate communications, publishing, crisis communications, or media relations, have knowledge related to PTVI business processes.
  • Conflict Management, Public and Media Relations, Media Content Analysis, Internal Communication Management, Strategic Information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (journalistic and corporate writing styles).
  • High integrity and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Resilient under pressure, adaptable in fast-changing crisis situations, and collaborative in aligning diverse stakeholder interests.
  • Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).

Procurement Analyst

Purpose of the Role

To support the procurement of goods and services in line with targeted service levels, meeting customer requirements at the most cost-effective total cost in accordance with procurement procedures. Build communication between users and suppliers, prepare and control tender processes and documentation. This role includes tender processes, evaluation, recommendations, and obtaining approval for contracts and purchase orders based on the authority matrix.

Accountabilities

  • Implement Environmental, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR) standards and regulations by ensuring workplace conditions, equipment, materials, methods, worker behavior, and 5S in the assigned area to minimize risks, achieve safe and secure conditions (Zero Harm), maintain a clean environment, and meet productivity targets.
  • Carefully ensure compliance with licensing requirements, applicable laws and regulations, company policies and procedures, and occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and promote compliance with PT Vale Indonesia Tbk’s business conduct and ethics standards among suppliers and users through daily communication and interaction.
  • Evaluate procurement requests for goods and services in accordance with standards, establish contract strategies and tender plans, and ensure that appropriate documentation is prepared and reviewed by all relevant parties.
  • Develop appropriate evaluation methodologies for tender evaluations, including evaluation criteria and weighting matrices, and perform bid analysis in accordance with procurement procedures.
  • Ensure tender clarification processes are fully documented and communicated in accordance with tender instructions.
  • Prepare procurement contract documents for goods and services, evaluate and adjust contract clauses based on contract type, applicable regulations and laws, company policies, and negotiation outcomes.
  • Monitor contracts and purchases (routine and non-routine) to ensure smooth procurement cycles, prevent process delays, payment delays, and delivery delays, and follow up on any non-conformities in purchases.
  • Prepare, compile, and evaluate comprehensive and accurate documents using electronic and manual record systems, ensuring auditability and compliance monitoring with contract requirements.
  • Provide direct support to sponsors at the required service level in contract administration tasks, including performance metrics, performance reviews, payments, and dispute resolution. Proactivelyprovide considerations, recommendations, and suggestions to Supervisors, whether requested or not.
  • Fully participate in cross-functional teams and the Procurement team, ensuring information is properly researched, prepared, and presented to support team objectives and maintaining full commitment to the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in goods and services procurement (medium to high complexity level)
  • Proficient in computer use, experienced with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good understanding of ERP-SAP is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English communication (writing, reading, speaking)
  • Computer literate, experience in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L)
