PT Medco Power Indonesia was established in 2004 as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and provider of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services. Currently, Medco Power owns and operates more than 3,100 MW, spread across 15 locations in Indonesia.Medco Power, through its subsidiary, PT Medco Ratch Power Riau (MRPR), was appointed as the winner of a tender for the Riau 275 MW CCPP project in Pekanbaru, Riau. The power purchase agreement was signed in April 2017, followed by the issuance of PLN’s Financing Date Declaration in September 2018. Riau CCPP has reached commercial operation in February 2022.
Medco Power is also developing Sumbawa Solar PV project with capacity of 26 MWp. Sumbawa Solar PV is planned to operate commercially starting Q2 2022. Furthermore, Medco Power will develop West and East Bali Solar PV projects with total capacity of 2×25 MWp. In addition, Medco Power has implemented electric vehicles as operational cars in its head office and subsidiaries such as in Riau, Batam and Jepara.
Medco Power has completed transaction to form a strategic alliance with Kansai Electric Power Company to develop gas power plants and O&M services in Indonesia.
Going forward, Medco Power will continue to actively participate in the development of power plant projects, especially in the clean and renewable energy sector.

Job Description
- Responsible for overseeing plant operations during both normal and emergency conditions.
- Operates the plant in coordination with the Unit Controller and ensures smooth daily performance.
- Provides on-site supervision outside the control room during normal operations and incident responses.
- In case of a unit trip or upon instruction from the Shift Leader / Unit Controller / Assistant Unit Controller, immediately reports to the control room and supports incident handling by monitoring plant status.
- Assists the Unit Controller / Assistant Unit Controller during planned start-ups, depending on the urgency and number of technical issues present.
- Operates equipment from the local control room under the guidance of the Unit Controller located in the Central Control Room.
- Submits daily operational reports to the Unit Controller and ensures no abnormalities occur in the main plant system.
- Conducts regular field inspections to verify that actual conditions align with reported system and process statuses.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Diploma (D3).
- At least 1 year of experience as an operator in a power plant, heavy equipment, or utility operation.
- Preferably has knowledge of electrical systems, especially high voltage.
- Understanding of basic mechanical systems such as bearings, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Willing to be assigned and permanently based in North Sulawesi (non-roster arrangement).
