Professional Production Operator
- Balikpapan, East Kalimantan
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating all types of pumps, all types of machines, all types of compressors, dryers, filters, all types of gauges, various valves, tanks, separators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, all types of coolers, gas turbines, vibration monitoring, lubricant oil sampling analysis, heat exchangers, heavy equipment, piping and connectors, as well as mechanisms related to other process control systems.
- Able to operate and replace components safely; identify the purpose of components and auxiliary systems; use correct maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and methods; and recognize and protect personnel from hazards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience; Associate degree (Diploma 3) with 15 years of experience; High School or equivalent in mechanical field in the oil and gas or mining industry.
- Possess good knowledge of rotating and static equipment, proficient in major overhauls, rebuilding, troubleshooting and repairs, and protecting personnel from hazards.
- Understand the basics of mechanical tools and equipment and comprehend the purpose, use, and operation of mechanical tools and equipment.
- Possess basic knowledge of mechanical theory and identify and understand the purpose and operation of mechanical equipment and tools.
- Able to identify and select codes of practice, standards, and government regulations.
- Able to read and work with documentation; identify the purpose and use of appropriate documentation.
- Able to read diagrams and extract information from technical drawings and specifications; sketch engineering assets and process systems, wiring circuits and equipment layouts; select and read procedures and manuals from vendors.
- Understand and able to convey ideas or messages clearly in writing. Develop report and paper concepts that effectively address objectives, subjects, and audiences. Use forms, structures, and styles appropriate to the situation.
- Understand QHSSE and process safety such as General Safety Procedures, Safety Management Systems, Transportation Safety, and Process Safety Management. Understand key components of maintaining a safe workplace and how to implement and follow procedures safely.
- Possess advanced oral and written communication skills in Indonesian and English.
- Possess excellent computer-based skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Communicator).
- Quickly adapt to new and innovative ideas.
- Possess various certifications or equivalents such as General OHS, Rigger, Confined Space, and other supporting certificates related to mechanical equipment.
- Willing and able to work with offshore and onshore field operation schedules.
- Possess valid certificates including:
- Basic Sea Survival (mandatory for all locations).
- Basic Fire Fighting (mandatory for all locations).
- Working at Heights (mandatory for all locations).
- Confined Space Entry (mandatory for all locations).
- BNSP Rigger (for certain locations) / optional.
- Overhead Crane Operator license (for certain locations / optional).
