Drilling Superintendent (Fixed Term)

Job Description

Purpose:

To develop well design optimizing the investment and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection. Optimize completion in various wells, specifically for development and workover wells, and incorporating the most appropriate technologies and methods.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering supports including the new technology, best drilling practices and technical recommendations to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost control in all drilling activities / programs.
• Provide engineering supports with well design and well program including the drilling program, contingency plans, drilling risk assessment, technical specifications of drilling equipment / materials for the oil and gas exploration and well development.
• Propose drilling programs including all information as specified in Company procedure.
• Recommending changes in some aspects of drilling program to improve drilling and completion approach, techniques, and performance.
• Responsible for well completion programme and optimize the design from technology standpoint, capable to exploit the production rate requested by Reservoir to maintaining well integrity and well barriers in place.
• Operations follow up on daily basis and assist rig site operations.
• Responsible completion / work-over program to improve drilling and completion methods, techniques, and speed.
• Any other duties related to the job as directed by Superior.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Languages: Fluent in Bahasa and English

Training and Courses:

• Employee Induction including HSE Awareness
• Basic Petroleum Engineering
• Drilling and Completion Operation
• Drilling and Completion Engineering
• Geology and Geophysics Basis
• Subsurface and Reservoir Basis
• IWCF level 4 for Subsea
• Hazardous Waste Management, First Aider, Fire Fighting HUET and Sea Survival

Required Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of proven experience in Deepwater Drilling and Completion
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Senior Company Man in Deepwater D&C

Technical Competencies:

• Drilling Activities: Deepwater Drilling operation, Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids and Cement operation.
• Completion Activities: Deepwater Completion, Intelligent completions.
• High Profile Drilling: Extended reach drilling, HP / HT drilling, MPD and Continue Circulation Drilling
• Well stimulation (Acid), Sand Control (Frac., Gravel Pack, High Rate GP), Fracturing jobs
• Production Optimization and Workover in Deepwater Operations
• Floaters
• Horizontal SubSea Tree, IWOCS, Landing String
