PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining, and processing at the Martabe Gold Mine in South Tapanuli, North Sumatra. PTAR is headquartered in Jakarta and employs over 3,000 workers as of 2024, with more than 99% being Indonesian citizens and over 70% recruited locally. Committed to safe, sustainable operations, PTAR prioritises minimising environmental impact while delivering long-term benefits to local stakeholders.The Martabe Gold Mine, located in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, operates across 646.08 hectares as of December 2024. Since production began on 24 July 2012, the mine has processed over 6 million tonnes of ore annually, producing more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver annually.
As of June 2024, the mine’s mineral resources were estimated at 6.1 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver, while ore reserves were calculated at 3.2 million ounces of gold and 32 million ounces of silver.
The Martabe Gold Mine is inviting applications from qualified professionals to join our MPDSE Department. This position is intended to enhance departmental capability and support the achievement of our strategic objectives.
Superintendent - Project Technical and Permitting (MPDSE 2511050)
This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the MPDSE Department, with direct reporting to the Manager - Study and Development.The role of Superintendent Project Technical and Permitting is to assist Manager Study and Development on the study / design liaise with consultant, geotechnical aspect during construction supervision, laboratory activity for quality control and technical support during approval permit process. This position will also collaborate with Superintendent Project Plan and Superintendent Water Management to maintain the progressing activity of study and development department within MPDSE division.
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Geotechnical, Engineering Geology, Mining / Geotechnical or other related discipline with working experience more than 15 years.
- Preferable Certified registered engineer from PII or others would be benefit.
- Preferable Certified within geotechnical areas would be advantages.
- Proven experience involving within project environment, especially mining earthwork.
- Understand project management, heavy equipment management and earthwork quality control.
- Excellent communication and team player.
- Certified POP and POM from ESDM.
- Experience in approaching government representative for approval permit process.
- Understand the governance of design / planning, project execution and supervision.
- Exposure on study or research scope, especially within mining industry.
- Strong proficiency in English (listening, speaking, and writing).
Senior Engineer - Project Plan and Track (MPDSE 2511051)
This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the MPDSE Department, with direct reporting to the Superintendent - Project Plan and Track.The role of Senior Engineer - Project Plan and Track are to assist Superintendent Project Plan and Tracking on the scope of project planning, coordination with construction team as well others related department, supervising business partner in relation with planning aspect, tracking progress and evaluate possible improvement and controlling cost aspect. This position will also collaborate with others Superintendent and Senior Engineer / Supervisor within study and development department in maintain the ongoing various projects.
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Mining Engineering with more than 10 years’ experience
- Lower degree with higher experience will be considered i.e > 15 years.
- Preferable Certified registered engineer from PII or others would be benefit.
- Familiar with mining, earthwork (gold mining experience is a plus).
- Understand project management, heavy equipment management and earthwork quality control.
- Understand the governance of design / planning, project execution and supervision.
- High exposure on project planning, especially related with earthwork, can perform basic calculation bill of quantity.
- Understanding cost, timing and quality aspect within construction project.
- Proven experience working with design software such as AutoCAD, Surpac, etc.
- Proven knowledge on construction heavy equipment and understand productivity evaluation.
- Good skills in English language (listening, speaking, writing).
Senior Supervisor - Project Water Management and Energy (MPDSE 2511052)
This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the MPDSE Department, with direct reporting to the Superintendent - Project and Energy Development.The role of Senior Supervisor Project Water Management and Energy is accountable for assisting Superintendent Water Management and Green Energy on the scope of water management (pumping and pipe), green energy solar PV development, water treatment and dewatering contractor management. This position will also collaborate with others Superintendent and Senior Engineer / Supervisor within study and development in maintaining the various ongoing project.
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
- University degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial or other related discipline with working experience more than 7 years, or Senior High School with previous experience more than 10 years within pumping / piping scope and solar PV
- Proven knowledge and experience within pumping and pipe work, especially within mining activity.
- Able to perform pumping analysis including pipe specification assessment and water modelling.
- Preferably have professional certification on pumping and solar PV installations.
- Basic computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates a strong “can-do” mindset and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication and team player.
- Good skills in English language (listening, speaking, writing).
Supervisor - Project Water Management and Energy (MPDSE 2511053)
This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the MPDSE Department, with direct reporting to the Senior Supervisor - Project Water Management and Energy.The role of Supervisor Project Water Management and Energy is accountable for assisting Senior Supervisor Water Management and Energy on the scope of water management (pumping and pipe), green energy solar PV development, water treatment and dewatering contractor management. This position will more overcome field activity and manage dewatering and green energy contractor, also support others study and development scope related with field activity.
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
- University degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial or other related discipline with working experience more than 2 years, or Senior High School with previous experience more than 5 years within pumping / piping scope and solar PV.
- Know and understand the concept of Project Management.
- Know and understand the concept of Renewable Energy Familiar with gold mining.

Officer - Document Control and Procurement (MPDSE 2511054)
This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the MPDSE Department, with direct reporting to the Engineer - Progress Control.The role of the Officer Document Control and Procurement is to assist study and development department in terms of document filing and inputting for procurement aspect. Documents include but are not limited to design document, construction drawing, as built document, QAQC document, HSE documents (JSEA, HIRADC, SOP, etc), consultant and contractor report. Procurement document would be but not limited to SSJ / SR, raise PR / PO, agreement / PO, invoices etc.

Senior Engineer - Project Controls (MPDE 2511059)
This position is located at the Martabe Site within the MPDE Department and reports directly to the Lead Engineer - Project Control.The role of the Senior Engineer- Project Controls is to:
- Project Controls are the data gathering, management and analytical processes used to forecast, understand and constructively influence time and cost outcomes of a project, through the early communication of information that assist effective management and decision making.
- Provide senior planning and scheduling and technical expertise through timely monitoring, controlling, analysing and reporting of project progress information with strong focus on trending, forecasting towards proactively influencing time and cost outcomes on the project.
- Responsible for developing and implementing planning, scheduling, and information systems to support individual projects and the overall program planning. This includes creating and maintaining schedules for various project phases, including engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Collaborate with project engineers, managers, and key team members to develop schedules at the appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) level.
- Identify and report activities that could critically impact the project schedule and prepare Schedule Impact Reports for presentation.
- Analyse schedule slippage and provide recommendations for recovery plans.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication to keep all parties informed about matters that impact and influence the projects.
- Continuously monitor and update project schedules, milestones, and overall completion timetables.
- Ensure the timely production of accurate weekly and monthly schedule progress reports.
- Establish key performance indicators to evaluate individual and collective project performance.
- Identify opportunities to enhance schedules, including the analysis of design changes and their implications on time, resources, and costs.
- Provide support to Project Managers and Site Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in and provide support for staff involved in project or integrated scheduling-related reviews, such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), subcontractor validations, and internal / external quality audits.
- Analyse and review the impact of schedule changes, reporting any deviations or overruns.
- Offer support to Cost Engineering, specifically in cost and progress tracking, and target controls.
- Perform variance comparisons and conduct key driver analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for a civil engineering background or a related engineering qualification
- A track record of at least 6 years of professional experience, with a solid 2-3 years dedicated to Project Planning using software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Experience in site offices and field operations within a project execution environment is highly valued.
- Exceptional ability to collaborate with project teams and various stakeholders to gather information and construct comprehensive project plans.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both written and oral, and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
- Advanced competencies in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential
- Experience with large mining companies is a notable advantage.
- Existing awareness of the significance of project controls and the role this function plays in providing performance visibility to the Project Manager and the Project Management Team.
- Familiarity with all project lifecycle phases that drive work efforts and associated pressures.
- Understanding of the unique challenges encountered when operating in a project dynamic environment, along with an awareness of how changes in project scope and execution can impact performance delivery.
- Knowledge of project reporting requirements. Projects necessitate regular progress updates to report on performance against agreed baselines (scope, cost, hours, quantities, and schedule). Reporting is a standard project obligation, and the importance of timely and accurate progress reporting, supported by robust performance controls and clear accountabilities, cannot be underestimated.
- Awareness of the importance of timely and effective communication, the significance of reliable data, and the management of the frequency and volume of changes
Engineer - Mechanical Project (MPDE 2511060)
This position is located at the Martabe Site within the MPDE Department and reports directly to the Senior Engineer - Mechanical Project.The role of the Engineer - Mechanical Project is to:
- Analyse project requirements and develop mechanical engineering plans.
- Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets for mechanical works.
- Work with design teams to ensure mechanical plans meet technical requirements and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities to facilitate project execution.
- Manage budgets, timelines and resources for mechanical project elements
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines (process, instrumentation, civil, etc)
- Participating in design reviews ((3D reviews, HAZOP, etc.)
- Providing technical support and guidance to project teams.
- Contribute to scopes of work, tender packages, tender evaluations and project management tools to ensure that the Company is financial and legally protected while achieving optimal value on project expenditure.
- Stay updated on the latest engineering technologies and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university
- 3 to 5 years of experience in piping engineering.
- Technical expertise in reading and interpreting mechanical, structural drawings, and weld symbols.
- Proficiency in CAD / CAE software
- Solid knowledge of design codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).
- Team player with strong organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.
- Successful track record of overseeing construction contractors in a safe and efficient manner, across multiple sites.
- Ability to interpret and implement engineering designs across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to implement and manage field QA / QC programs across multiple disciplines.
- Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect to the local people and their culture
