Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Law, with at least 13 years of relevant experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and other corporate legal matters, preferably within the mining industry.
- A master's degree in Law would be an advantage.
- Experience as a Legal Officer in a government / commercial environment would be an advantage.
- Outstanding knowledge of and / or skills in Mining Law and Regulation, Litigation, Legal Advice, and Legal Contract Drafting.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills with proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent work planning and management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent achievement orientation as well as teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Meet the general recruitment and / or promotion requirements regarding performance appraisal score, employee grade, and tenure in the minimum grade.
- Willing to be based in East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan.
- Excellent commitment to KPC's vision-mission-values, HSES standards, continuous business improvement, and cost optimisation.
Key Roles and Accountabilities
- Develop legal policies and procedures and maintain an up-to-date legal manual.
- Review contracts, agreements, permits, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with company and government regulations and requirements.
- Develop, review, and approve new and revised standard legal agreements and contracts prior to implementation.
- Assess disputes and determine appropriate legal action.
- Assign and manage lawyers with expertise relevant to the case at hand to represent the Company in court.
- Conduct legal analyses of cases and provide legal advice and consultation to KPC Management and all divisions, as required.
- Provide legal drafting services to all divisions.
- Communicate updates on legal developments and other relevant legal information to all employees.
- Advise KPC Management and relevant divisions on the implications of proposed laws and regulations that may affect the Company.
- Manage the following areas as required for the Manager position in KPC:
- Health, safety, and environment;
- People and organization;
- Budgeting and cost control; and
- Business and performance improvement.
