We operates under a Contract of Work, which was amended with a Special Mining Business Permit (IUPK) on May 13, 2024. The contract is valid until December 28, 2035, and the concession covers an area of 118,017 Ha covering South Sulawesi (70,566 hectares), Central Sulawesi (22,699 hectares) and Southeast Sulawesi (24,752 hectares).
In producing nickel in the Sorowako Block, we use pyro metallurgical technology (in melting the laterite nickel ore). The Company mines laterite nickel ore and processes it into the final product of nickel in matte.
The Company also continues its plan to developing integrated mining practices through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, and in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The development project also targets existing operational locations, in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.
As the two largest shareholders, MIND ID (PT Mineral Industri Indonesia) and Vale Canada Limited (VCL) jointly control PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. MIND ID holds the largest share in the company at 34.00%, while VCL holds approximately 33.88%.

Mine Engineer

  • Contract: 12 Months, Work Location: Bungku Timur
To produce mine planning, production scheduling, high quality design, projects development and monitoring the implementation in order to support the overall success of meeting the company objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Execute and monitor the implementation plan and schedule for entire life of mine for the project (establish assumptions to be used for mine planning, pit optimization, production scheduling optimization, digging sequences, ore blending strategy, equipment requirement, mine Opex, Mine Capex) by optimizing mineral reserves to maximize the mine economic (IRR and NPV), including the implementation of Good Mining Practice / good mining techniques.
  • Design the mining hill using all data geology such: block model, ore zone, ore type, grade distribution, stripping ratio, etc and provide regular interval cross section.
  • Conceptual design the pit in term of maximizes mining ore with considering to drainage plan, equipment capability, stripping ratio, disposal capacity and any engineering overviews.
  • Prepare and design workable mine plan (short term, medium term, long term) which consist of mine production, equipment model, estimate mine opex and mine capex.
  • Develop mine plan to support mine technical study and provide quarterly forecast as per integrated Business Plan requirement meet the target to ensure reliable production.
  • Control and monitor assumption to be used for the budget and coordinate the preparation of mine budget (including production and cost profiles, supplies, support and service, mine development contract and critical success factors) to ensure project budget optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (S1) in Mining Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years experience in related field
  • Certified Pengawas Operational Pratama (POP)
  • Computer skills software such as Mine Design (Vulcan, Surpac, Deswik, etc), Mine Scheduling (Whittle, MineMax, MineSched, etc), Arcview, MSS and Access MS project
  • Good Communication and presentation skills in written and Verbal

Junior Geologist

  • Contract: 12 Months, Work Location: Bungku Timur
Assist in mining activities and mineral resource evaluation through field surveys, geological mapping, infill drilling, sample collection and analysis, and geological modeling. Other duties include assisting in the preparation of technical reports, maintaining ore quality and quantity according to the established qualifications. Monitor, validate, and improve sampling processes, contractor performance, and geological data quality by conducting systematic audits, implementing corrective actions, and preparing accurate reports to ensure representative samples, reliable data, timely insight and compliance with safety, quality, and company requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure the quality of Nickel ore meets the specified targets.
  • Conducting routine sampling from the mining site and then preparing it for quality testing.
  • Monitor the mining production process, from mining to shipping, to prevent contamination or deviations from quality standards.
  • Communicate and provide directions to heavy equipment operators to focus on mining high-quality materials and avoid other unwanted materials.
  • Monitor and validate the entire sampling process at sampling stations, trommel, MRAL, and laboratory through regular audits to ensure representative and reliable samples that support accurate geological data interpretation.
  • Review of contractor performance, including work procedures, workforce readiness, response time in sample distribution, and supporting equipment to ensure contractor compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
  • Review and improve sampling procedures at sampling stations and trommel by identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to achieve continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity of the sampling system.
  • Validate geological and production related data, including batching and trommel data, against established standards to ensure data accuracy and reliability for mining reports and operational decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports of random sampling audits and contractor performance assessments to provide management with timely insights for monitoring compliance, identifying risks, and supporting operational improvements.

  • Certified Pengawas Operational Pratama (POP) is preferred
