Job Roles
Develop and review process / process safety aspects of WHP, GMS, Pipeline and Floating Production Facilities processes in cooperation with topsides, hull, marine and instrumentation engineering colleagues, in line with project requirements, to ensure WHP, GMS, Pipeline, and Floating Production Facilities processes support the overall production process of company.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review processandprocess safety designs for WHP, GMS, Pipeline, and Floating Production Facilities systems to ensure alignment with overall production objectives
- Lead and facilitate PHA / HAZOP studies and support Safety CaseandQRA analysis to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Perform process simulations and analyses (HYSYS, OLGA) and interpret results to optimize system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (topsides, marine, hull, instrumentation) to ensure effective integration of process systems and safe operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering or other related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in process / process safety engineering within the oil and gas industry, with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Minimum 2 years of experience in gas processing facility operations
- Experience in chemical laboratory, sulfur recovery processing, and topside sand management are preferable
- Proven experience in facilitating PHA / HAZOP studies for upstream oil and gas facilities
- Experience in running process software and interpreting results
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency process and process safety engineering standards and regulations
- Upstream oil and gas process engineering, including:
- Natural gas treatment (sweetening and dehydration)
- Condensate and produced water handling
- Sulfur recovery processes
- Process equipment principles, including separators, filtration / coalescing units, absorbers, strippers, heat exchangers, reactors (Claus process), pumps, compressors, and gas turbines (GTG and GTC)
- Safety Case and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), including tools such as DNV Phast, Canary, or TNO Damage
- Proficient in process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS – steady state and dynamic, OLGA)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Others
- Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills
- Solid managerial capability with the ability to manage technical functions
- Effective communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
