PETRONAS Indonesia is looking for competent, dynamic, and creative Indonesians to join us in this exciting journey. Under the Production Sharing Contract arrangements with SKK MIGAS, PETRONAS Carigali Indonesia Operations is looking for the following professionals:

Maintenance Superintendent

  • Lead and coordinate all offshore maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution within approved budgets and resources. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining asset integrity, and achieving production targets through effective planning, contractor management, and compliance with HSE and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning and Strategy
  • Coordinate preventive (PM), corrective (CM), and turnaround maintenance planning and execution in alignment with the Maintenance Reference Plan (MRP) and Work Program and Budget (WP&B).
  • Strategize maintenance execution to optimize resources, minimize downtime, and ensure plant reliability.
Multi-Discipline Maintenance Oversight
  • Supervise maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, including turbomachinery, rotating equipment, and critical systems.
  • Ensure proper work-packing, material procurement, onshore fabrication, installation, hook-up, and commissioning are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Provide technical input and troubleshooting support for critical equipment maintenance to ensure reliability and integrity.
Contractor and Stakeholder Coordination
  • Manage maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with the Company’s standard and Contract guidelines.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Logistics, and supporting departments to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities.
Digital Maintenance Management
  • Oversee maintenance execution through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate data entry, work order tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement through digital tools and analytics for predictive and preventive maintenance.
Budget and Compliance
  • Provide inputs for WP&B development, ensuring accurate budgeting and timely submission to avoid delays.
  • Uphold HSE standards and statutory compliance in all maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in oil and gas production operations with 5 years’ experience as maintenance supervisor (offshore / onshore facilities).
  • Proven ability to manage multi-discipline maintenance activities and respond effectively to plant upsets and emergencies.
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and process safety in upstream oil and gas.
  • Hands on experience in using SAP for CMMS, SOLAR GTG or other turbomachinery, ESP and its topside equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in maintenance budgeting exercise.
