Assistant Quality Digital Manager

Main Job Purpose

  • Lead Digital agenda for Quality to drive Quality Improvement projects in Warehousing, Go to market. Support and track Quality digital projects at all sites. Support Supply Quality improvement program by driving Corrective and preventive actions along with Procurement across all BGs Build data analytics capability across Quality community. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Decision making and execution of the role impacts consumer safety and quality of UL products in the factories, warehouse, and marketplace with implications on UL reputation and brand equity.
  • Understand, frame , pilot and deliver Ice cream cold chain temperature capability improvement as per Global Ice cream standard. Online temperature monitoring, control in trucks, external cold store, and technology to ensure compliance in cabinets. Create a platform to online tracking of temperature compliance and corrective preventive action.
  • Understand, frame, pilot and deliver IT tool to support practical Warehouse planogram compliance during mix loading from warehouse.
  • Understand, frame, pilot and deliver end to product traceability compliance in extended supply chain to track products.
  • Provide solution and support factory quality digital initiatives to improve process capability, reduce complaints.
  • Support Supply Quality improvement program by driving Corrective and preventive actions along with Procurement across all BGs

Additional Responsibilities

  • Utilizes data analytics capability to train Quality community on data analytics and bring out better insights / take proactive action based on factory quality data , complaints etc
  • Utilize digital technical knowledge to support sites on minimising quality testing by conventional method and introduce advanced cost effective analytical solutions.
  • Utilizes statistical knowledge to support process capability studies at sites to maintain alignment between capabilities of site processing and filling operations and specification limits
  • Actively participate in QSHE program within quality community and build quality culture , capability across functions.

Professional Skills

About MBS

  • MBS, Unilever’s Marketing and Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT, supporting the business requirements of Brands, Divisions, Markets, and functions to drive growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever’s Compass.
  • Within MBS, the Assistant Sourcing Manager - Workforce Southeast Asia is responsible for supporting the sourcing strategy development, implementation, and procurement of external workforce (contingent labour, consultancy, finance, legal, recruitment, etc.) for Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia).
  • The role will need to foster and build a culture of collaboration and support excellent execution of our strategies while fostering deep relationships with our stakeholders and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supports the execution of regional strategic sourcing projects and is responsible for local negotiation planning & execution, ensuring commercial benefit (savings) captured in benefits tools and signed off by finance.
  • Working with Strategic Sourcing Manager, Portfolio Lead, regional stakeholders and supplier ops to determine preferred supplier listings and agreeing rate cards for regional suppliers.
  • Proactively work with Supplier Ops to ensure day to day transactional work is being supported and making use of eProcurement tools to deliver increased value.
  • Working closely with Key PMU stakeholders and Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and delivery market specific portfolio strategies.
  • Providing credible market data and local supplier segmentation, creating detailed budget and spend analysis to identify sourcing pipeline and plan that meets local business needs.
  • Ensuring contractual commitments are in place and signed off by stakeholders, legal and finance as appropriate.
  • Manage escalation issues arising from markets and seek help from Strategic Sourcing manager or Portfolio lead as needed.
  • Proactively ensure transparency and compliance with business policies for sourcing activities in the PMU.
  • Ensuring that stakeholders are complying to company policy and guidelines, providing tips and tools to help local buying in markets where procurement resource is unavailable.

Experience Required

Qualification / Experience

  • 5+ years of procurement experience (Indirect Procurement experience will be preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in Sourcing, negotiation and contracting.
  • Understanding of supply market, value chain, and FMCG knowledge. Knowledge of Workforce and other business services portfolios is a strong plus.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Experience on project management
  • Excellent skill in Excel, PPT and Power BI.
  • Knowledge business systems is a plus i.e., Coupa, CLM, SRS and Aravo.
