PT Vale Indonesia was established by Deed No. 49 dated July 25, 1968, drawn up before Eliza Pondaag, a public notary in Jakarta. We operates under a Contract of Work, which was amended with a Special Mining Business Permit (IUPK) on May 13, 2024. The contract is valid until December 28, 2035, and the concession covers an area of 118,017 Ha covering South Sulawesi (70,566 hectares), Central Sulawesi (22,699 hectares) and Southeast Sulawesi (24,752 hectares).
In producing nickel in the Sorowako Block, we use pyro metallurgical technology (in melting the laterite nickel ore). The Company mines laterite nickel ore and processes it into the final product of nickel in matte.
The Company also continues its plan to developing integrated mining practices through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, and in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The development project also targets existing operational locations, in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.
As the two largest shareholders, MIND ID (PT Mineral Industri Indonesia) and Vale Canada Limited (VCL) jointly control PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. MIND ID holds the largest share in the company at 34.00%, while VCL holds approximately 33.88%.

Maintenance Engineer

Purpose of the Role

Perform engineering works, project management task, maintenance and cost analysis, investigation and other action to ensure that equipment are correctly maintained and performing at optimum capability and capacity with the best of economic cost for PTVI investment. Seek implementation of leading-edge product and features, such as technology of autonomous system, battery electric vehicle, latest technology supported with artificial intelligent or machine learning to achieve reliable mobile equipment and mine fixed plant with optimize component lifetime and performance optimization, to face mining 4.0 vision.

Accountabilities

• Implementing and supervising Environment, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR) standards and regulations by ensuring working environmental conditions, equipment, materials, methods, worker behavior, and 5S under area responsibility with the aim of minimizing risk, achieving safe and secure conditions (Zero Harm), clean environment, and achieved work productivity targets.
• Develop and review maintenance procedure and strategy to ensure that all maintenance work done by MEM is done more safely, more effectively and more efficiently.
• Implement reliability engineering in Mobile Equipment maintenance to ensure that equipment can be operated at optimum capability and capacity
• Ensure Mobile Equipment and MEM Facilities modification is adequately engineered and approved as PTVI procedures. (The selection, purchase, construction, maintenance, modification, until the demolition process)
• Ensure maintenance cost of mobile equipment are well managed by preparing, monitoring and analyze all mobile equipment maintenance cost
• Ensure and maintain all CMMS are adequately and effectively used and useful by MEM Role Holders
• Decide and support initiatives improvement for mobile equipment maintenance to be operating with high reliability and availability to achieve PTVI and Government standard.
• Study, develop, and review digital transformation development program, confirm program priorities and ensure alignment to company strategies and business case development.
• Collaborate and build effective partnership with all stakeholders (Customer, IT, Capital Project, Global Technology Innovation, Management, etc.) to ensure the optimum product and feature development strategy with optimum schedule, cost & resources to deliver digital transformation program as per priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Engineering
• 3 - 4 years experience as an engineer (minimum junior level)
• Preferably have experience in the mining industry, especially heavy equipment maintenance
• POP (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) (mandatory)
• IPP (Insinyur Profesional Pratama) (preferred)
• CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) (preferred)
