PT Freeport Indonesia is a mineral mining company affiliate of Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) and MIND ID Indonesia's Mining Industry. PTFI mines and process ores produces concentrates containing copper, gold and silver. We market concentrates all over the world, and mainly to domestic copper smelter, PT Smelting. We operates in the remote highlands of the Sudirman Mountain Range in Mimika Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia
Our mines in Grasberg minerals district, Papua – Indonesia is one of the world’s largerst copper and gold deposits. We currently mining the final phase of the Grasberg open pit, which contains high copper and gold ore grades. We have been working on several projects in the Grasberg minerals district related to the development of its large-scale, long-lived, high-grade underground mines. In aggregate, these underground mines are expected to produce large-scale quantities of copper and gold following the transition from the Grasberg open pit.

Environmental Engineer

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Earth Science or related Natural Science (such as Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Hydrology, Forestry, Agriculture, Meteorology, Environmental / Natural Resource Management), or Mathematics / Computer Science including Accounting and Finance, or Business Management, or other Bachelor's degree and five (3) years of related experience
- Or Master's degree in a related field and three (1) years of related experience
Role Specific Competencies
- Additional certification or licensure appropriate to the job may be required or preferred

- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Metallurgy or related field
- More than ten (10) years of experience in mineral / metal processing technical and / or operations, including extensive experience in operational management roles
- A Master's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Pengawas Operasional Madya (POM) Certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training, and motivating employees
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of mineral / metal processing, particularly bulk material handling and milling
- Knowledge on several typical equipment such as belt conveying, pneumatic conveying, reclaimers, SAG mill, Ball mill, flotation machines, thickeners, and filter press
- Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
- Skilled in managing complex operations or engineering projects
- Familiarity and experience in managing operations in compliance with relevant Indonesian regulations on safety, health, and environmental
