(50%), with license to manufacture, distribute and market Honda motorcycles in Indonesia. AHM is supported by Honda Sales Operation (HSO) as the main dealer in charge of sales of Honda motorcycles, along with spare parts and after-sales service in Indonesia. Marketing and Market Share Within the last 3 years, PT AHM completed a turnaround breakthrough through excellent strategy execution, hence generating a solid market leadership position in 2013, with 61% market share.
AHM relies on a winning network, made up of 29 main dealers in Indonesia, 1,814 outlets, 3,619 serviceoutlets and 7,550 spare parts shops. Of the 29 main dealers, 11 constitute part of Honda Sales Operation within Astra Group’s extended business network, which contributes 30% of total Honda sales
AHM and the Honda network concentrated on delivering the best after-sales service, with support from Honda Customer Care Center. As a special task force responsible for strengthening relationships with customers nationwide through Honda’s extensive operational network, Honda Customer Care Center also manages the contact center, as the direct channel for customers to communicate questions, complaints and other issues, and subsequently oversees internal coordination for their handling and resolution.
In 2013, AHM has a total production capacity of 4.5 million units per year in three assembly plants; hence, demand for motorcycle products being higher than normal production capability. In line with current market demand, Honda has commenced the construction of its fourth factory that is expected to begin producing in mid-2014. The factory is specifically designed for scooter matic production at an annual capacity of 1.1 million units, and is equipped with highly efficient, cutting-edge technology.
