Tax Advisor - Jakarta

Role synopsis:

This role will be part of BP Berau Ltd Tax team, reporting to Senior Tax Advisor based in Jakarta. The Tax Advisor plays an important role in delivering tax planning, compliance, tax audit, VAT refund, tax facility and tax litigation and will look after different businesses. This role will be based in Jakarta office.

Key accountabilities:

  • Tax Planning:
    • Provide tax advice to business on business project, on-going / routine tax matters and new contracts with third parties i.e. customers and vendors.
  • Compliance:
    • Work closely with Finance to pay and file both monthly and annual tax return on timely manner.
  • Tax Audit:
    • Leading the tax audit process and relationship with tax authority
  • VAT Refund:
    • Ensure VAT refund cash flow to come steadily to BPPI
  • Tax Facility:
    • Obtain the “Golden Tax Payer”, “Low Risk Tax Payer” status and / or Tax Exemption.
  • Tax Litigation:
    • File tax litigation i.e. objection, appeal or civil review when required.

Essential Education:

  • Must hold Bachelor degree in Fiscal or Accounting or Finance discipline
  • ​Holding tax brevet certificate will be an advantage.

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • At minimum 8 years experience performing similar role, either in prominent Tax Consultant or reputable multinational organization;
  • Have strong tax technical knowledge;

Must have following experience:

  • Providing tax advisory on domestic and international tax matter;
  • Handling Direct, Indirect Tax and Employee Tax Compliance;
  • Preparing Transfer Pricing documentation and handle its audit;
  • Representing the company at the Tax Court;
  • Knowledgeable in Tax Accounting subject;
  • Have experience in building relationship with external stakeholder such as Tax office;
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skill in both English and Bahasa Indonesia

  • 10% Travel

Procurement Staff - Merak

Role synopsis:

Primary responsibility of the role is leading the day-to-day procurement activities in the Castrol Blending Plant. The job holder is expected to explore the market and identify value added suppliers to support the plant operation in effective and cost-efficient manner.

Key accountabilities:

  • To ensure all Purchases are executed with adherence to Procurement Process & delegation of authorities.
  • To seek to do business with third party that meets company expectation on HSSE requirement and able to deliver maximum value added for Global Supply Chain.
  • To manage the Plant demand on goods and service, identify the must-do purchase and able to offer alternatives for the required goods and services.
  • To ensure that all the PO accurately generated according to requirement from the requestor and all price must be approved by line manager.

Essential Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Accounting
  • Essential experience and job requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Procurement
  • Strong negotiation skill.
  • Computer literate and familiar with ERP system, preferably JD Edwards.
  • Broad knowledge on packaging market, engineering supplies and services.
  • Sound knowledge in budgeting and accounting is preferred.

Other Requirements (e.g. Travel, Location):

  • Willing to be placed in the Blending Plant at Merak.

Desirable criteria & qualifications:

  • Transactional procurement experience, understanding of P2P, sourcing, supplier evaluation and selection and data management process experience.
  • Process based work experience.
