Adaro Energy JobsWe are an Indonesian energy group that focuses on integrated coal mining through subsidiaries. Our principal location is at Tabalong district in South Kalimantan, where our subsidiary PT Adaro Indonesia operates the largest single-site coal mine in the southern hemisphere. We operate under a first-generation CCA (coal co-operation agreement) with the Indonesian Government valid until 2022.
From our South Kalimantan mine’s three pits we produce one of the world’s cleanest coals, trademarked Envirocoal. It is a sub-bituminous, moderate calorific value coal producing ultra-low sulphur, ash and NOx emissions.
We are proud of our record of continuous growth over the two decades that we have been mining in Kalimantan. In 2014 we delivered 56.2 million tonnes of coal, and in 2015 we plan to produce between 54 million and 56 million tonnes.
Our coal is primarily sold to power generation providers, and we sell an average of about 25% of our coal to customers domestically in Indonesia and 75% to overseas customers, predominantly in Asia.

Reporting Officer - Jakarta

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect the data required in the preparation of financial statements to reporting can be performed accurately.
  • Inputting data and information for both the periodical financial statements and non-periodic into the database system Finance and Accounting for the delivery of financial information to management and stakeholders.
  • Drafting financial statements (actual vs. budget / actual vs. forecast) as the data to be analyzed to be given to the Corporate Finance Division.
  • Enter the data for the preparation of financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) quarterly / annual financial information for the purpose of submission to the Government through the Division of External Relations.
  • Preparing financial data submitted to the government (EMR) in order to government data reported is accurate.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting from reputable University, minimum GPA 3.00
  • Have minimum 2-year experience as Reporting Staff and / or experience from Public Accounting Firm
  • Have good knowledge of financial analysis, accounting control, financial reporting, and financial planning and budgeting

Tax Project Officer - Jakarta

Job Responsibilities

  • To analyze the impact of the regulation development in taxation and industry, so the update information can be used to update about provision, and to give input also advice about tax area for Adaro subsidiaries.
  • To analyze Contracts and document transactions so the data can be used to determine the risk of taxation and tax treatment in accordance with the applicable provisions.
  • To conduct a review all fiscal and taxation reports from Adaro subsidiaries, so the report can be used to prepare recommendations.
  • To gather information related to regulations in the areas of taxation and / or relating to the areas of taxation so it can be used to identify tax issues for the company.
  • To collect and prepare material for all project implementation plan in Adaro subsidiaries.
  • To do the documentation and filing tax documents pertaining to the analysis, a review, updates, input, advice, and recommendations of taxation.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree majoring Accounting / Taxation from reputable university, with minimum GPA 3.00
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the tax area, preferably from public tax firm.
  • Having excellent knowledge about Tax Regulation.
  • Having good knowledge about Tax Policy and Procedures.

Project Finance Specialist - Jakarta

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, evaluate and implement the financial data and activities for the projects undertaken by the company, including company interests in the project consortium through bidding, development and or implementation stages, financial close and the post-financial close activities to facilitate Management decisions.
  • Review and analyze all financial aspects include financial model preparations and financing activities for current projects and or developing projects undertaken by Adaro Power during feasibility study, bidding and development stage in order to comply with the project requirements.
  • Analyze potential projects from bankability perspective and work with advisers to improve structure from risk mitigation and return to the company.
  • Analyze and assist in the preparation of board papers to discuss and recommend course of action with regards to projects under considerations.
  • Coordinate with superior to attend Lenders due diligence process and queries / concerns to ensure the timely satisfaction of the conditions precedent and conditions subsequent stipulated in the financing documentation.
  • Coordinate with the superior to support the structuring of the projects' agreements (e.g. PPA, EPC, Coal Supply, OandM) and the consultancy agreements with third-party advisors (e.g. Lenders legal advisor, technical advisor, coal advisor, insurance advisor, etc.) in order to facilitate business decisions.
  • Manage and monitor the loan drawdown process (in liaison with the Financial Controller of the project company), the compliance with the debt servicing schedule and covenants also reporting requirements stipulated in the financing documentation in order to facilitate financial close stage on Project Company’s team.
  • Provide solutions to the superior and recommend improvements to support the Company and subsidiaries projects.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Bachelors' Degree graduates majoring in Accounting 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Project Financing  
  • Have exposure with financial modelling of Infrastructure Project, preferably from Power Plant Project 
  • Have good knowledge of Loan Management, Risk Analysis, Structuring and Sourcing of Financing will be advantage

Environmental and Social Management Department Head - Kalimantan Selatan

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to manage and monitor all environmental and social (EandS) compliance activities on site, including sampling, testing, auditing, and reporting as required under the Environmental and Social Documents (e.g. AMDAL, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), and the Equator Principles Action Plan (EPAP)), as well as any guidelines / policies set by Adaro Energy (AE). To apply the safety rules and procedures in Company in accordance with the quality management in the Company to support the safety and smooth operation of Power Plant.
  • Take the lead in the implementation and regular maintenance and audit of environmental and social management plans under AMDAL and ESMP.
  • Fulfill the requirements under EPAP as updated by the Lenders’ Technical Advisor (LTA) from time to time and those set by AE-QHSE Team.
  • Submit regular compliance reports to the relevant Indonesian governmental authorities (e.g. AMDAL RKL / RPL monitoring reports), the Lenders (e.g. annual compliance and sustainability reports, greenhouse gas emissions, etc.), and AE-QHSE department as necessary.
  • Monitor and instruct TPI team and any Contractors / Consultants on TPI Site to comply with TPI’s environmental and social requirements.
  • Submit EandS compliance reports on a monthly basis and present to Senior Management highlighting the management and monitoring systems performance including compliance status. 

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) graduate majoring in Environmental Engineering or related
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Environmental Section Head / Specialist (or related) in internationally-financed power / utility / mining projects

Unit Controller - Kalimantan Selatan

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to control, monitoring and operate the power plant operational (Boiler, Turbine, BOP, and auxiliary plant) in order to reach the target and run smoothly and safe.
  • To control and monitor the DCS operator in power plant operational (boiler, turbine, BOP, and auxiliary power plant) by DCS control based on approved procedure to reach the production target following health and safety principles.
  • To provide the directions of monitoring and technical actions to operational machine to DCS Operator Unit 1 and 2 and Field Operator based on DCS observation result to monitor panel as well as analyze the abnormality to get the decision which will be doing and also to coordinate with Shift Supervisor to have follow up action in timely manner.
  • To monitor and coordinate all the activities which required for Start-Up and Shut Down of the Power Plant equipment to support the continuity of Power Plant operations.
  • To identify the dangerous potential during operational Power Plant process and conduct the action based on settled up procedures as well as to report abnormality in the report to be evaluated and followed up accurately and timely manner.
  • To respond and control the emergency situation, emergency response such as fire and oil leaks to ensure the worker's safety, plant and environment.
  • To report the condition, disturbance findings, and latest update about power plant operations to DCS Officer in Charge in shift in Operator Daily Report in shift / daily log sheets which has been defined for continuity Power Plant operations.
  • To coordinate with Maintenance Department to follow up maintenance requirements findings to support the continuity of Power Plant operations.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Diploma Degree (D3) graduate majoring in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Have minimum 3 years of experience as Operator in manufacturing or power plant
  • Preferably has broad experience and proven skills in coal fired power plant operation.
  • Good communication skill

Operation Shift Leader - Kalimantan Selatan

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operation of the equipment and maintaining the safety and the efficiency of the power plant and auxiliary plant at the control room.
  • To apply the safety rules and procedures in the Company in accordance with the quality management in the Company to support the safety and smooth operation of the Power Plant.
  • To control the operational shift of Power Plant in all circumstances to maintain the availability of the Power Plant.
  • To monitor and guide all required activities for equipment.
  • To investigate and to provide the solution arising to the Plant (trouble, abnormal operational condition, danger sign) and provide the solution to be followed up to support the continuity and availability of Power Plant.
  • To prepare Faults Report from force stage and to prepare and also to review the quality and accuracy of the required information to be reported to the Maintenance Department for further corrective action.
  • To publish Permit-to-Work and isolation accurately and timely manner for the continuity and Power Plant maintenance.
  • To ensure the accuracy and completeness of Plant Quality Records which has been completed to ensure all Power Plant activity is documented.
  • To ensure the achievement of relevant procedures and Work Instructions at Quality Management System during conduct the daily works following Management Standard.
  • To make a daily report, work order, and record the usage of the material in conducting the work to support the continuity of operations and maintenance of Power Plant.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) graduate majoring in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Shift Leader position in power plant or manufacturing 
  • Broad experience and proven skills in coal-fired power plant operation will be an advantage.
  • Preferably having a valid Power Plant Competency Certificate (IATKI / HAKIT)
  • Good communication skill, leadership and managerial skill in supervisory level
  • Good command in English both verbal and written

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Kalimantan Selatan

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to conduct the mechanical maintenance activities, testing and equipment inspection on a routine basis to ensure the power supply goes smoothly and safely. 
  • To ensure the equipment to inspect and test, the work equipment is well functioned and can be used to get the optimum working result. 
  • To ensure the plan, the budget bill, working procedure, electricity document and potential risk are well understood for the technician to minimize the danger potential and the damage / loss.
  • To conduct and reporting the preventive maintenance work (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Supervising the Technician and Support Staff on daily works. 

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Diploma Degree (D3) graduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position in the power plant industry or manufacturing 
  • Broad experience and proven skills in coal-fired power plant maintenance will be an advantage.
